In our kitchen, quality, origin, and taste take center stage.
We use meat and fish from Austria, local fruits and vegetables – fresh, seasonal and honest.
In addition, eggs from the Schmaranz organic farm and cheese from the alpine pastures in the valley.
And from our own garden we harvest herbs that are incomparable in taste.

The result is dishes that are honest, fresh, and deeply rooted in our region – an expression of our connection to the Salzburger Land and our culinary philosophy.

Simply good by tradition: As we have for generations, we process selected ingredients according to old recipes into culinary masterpieces.

Whether jams, liqueurs and syrups made from fruit and herbs from our garden,
homemade bread made from ancient grain from a mill in the Salzburg region,
Fairtrade coffee beans that we refine in our own roastery,
or our homemade bacon.
Each product tells a story. Of origin. Of craftsmanship. And of appreciation.
The processing of these products is an inspiration for us. And dedication.

We generate energy from geothermal energy to heat and cool the house and our water worlds.
To achieve this, holes were drilled approximately 7,000 meters deep on our grounds – a system that enables an efficient energy supply.
In winter, it provides the entire house and our pools with soothing warmth.
In summer, it becomes a low-energy cooling system and ensures a pleasantly fresh indoor climate – without conventional air conditioning.

The sun also makes its contribution.
With modern photovoltaic systems, we generate renewable energy directly from sunlight – for our daily electricity needs in the hotel business.
In this way, we use what nature gives us: light, warmth and strength.

Through innovative systems, we recover heat from grey water and exhaust air and return it to our energy cycle.
This is how we reuse existing heat: Every resource counts.

In our design, we also work with regional manufacturers, who craft furniture for DAS.GOLDBERG with great craftsmanship. This creates an ambiance in which natural materials, craftsmanship, and the connection to our surroundings become visible.

We exclusively use natural cosmetic products that are in harmony with the environment and carefully tailored to our treatments – gentle, effective, and beneficial.
Our partner Team Dr. Joseph focuses on natural cosmetics and selected plant-based ingredients.

Our packs and treatments with Salzburg moor, hay, and golden algae are particularly popular – selected ingredients that are used in various ways in our applications.
Fine salt from Austria forms the basis for our invigorating scrubs, while golden algae is used in selected care treatments.
Herbal oils from local plants complement our treatments – natural, fragrant and soothing.

We use the power of nature – for relaxation that goes deeper.
For beauty that comes from within.
And driven by the idea that well-being can only arise in harmony with nature.

In this way, we combine the power of the Alps – and the lightness of being – in the wellness hotel in the Salzburg region.

We deliberately avoid small plastic packaging units and rely on refillable bottles with high-quality care series made from natural cosmetics.
Small items such as cotton swabs, make-up remover pads or shower caps are provided in biodegradable packaging made from corn starch.

Particularly lovely: Our bath salts are homemade – with alpine herbs and flowers from the region, filled into small, reusable jars.

We also focus on reuse for our flip-flops:
Since they show hardly any wear after a few days, they are cleaned, disinfected and repackaged in fine linen sacks.
In this way, we avoid unnecessary waste – and give things a second life.

Many small decisions that show how we handle materials and resources. With mindfulness in every detail.

Those who travel electrically should do so with ease.
That is why there are two e-charging stations with two charging points each on our premises.
Operated by our partner MOON Power, they enable charging directly at the hotel.

This allows our guests to conveniently charge their electric cars directly at the hotel – during their stay.
A service that combines electromobility and comfort.

For us, conscious mobility also begins with the options on-site – with four charging points directly at DAS.GOLDBERG.

Discovering the Gastein Valley quietly is an experience in itself.
With our hotel’s own e-fleet, we offer guests the opportunity to explore the surroundings on two or four wheels.

E-bikes from Rotwild, e-scooters from CAKE and an Audi e-tron are available, charged and ready to go for anyone who wants to break new ground.

This makes getting around a special experience – quiet, individual, and with many ways to discover the Gastein Valley.

Whether for a short drive, an excursion through the valley, or a tour on two wheels: Our e-fleet opens up new paths around DAS.GOLDBERG.

Mobility begins with the journey here.
That is why we want to make arrival and mobility via public transport as easy as possible for our guests.

With the Guest Mobility Ticket, all our guests have the opportunity to use public transport throughout the entire Salzburger Land free of charge. For the journey here as well as for excursions and discoveries on-site. We send the ticket out before arrival.

Those who arrive by train travel consciously – relaxed, stress-free and environmentally friendly.
We pick up our guests free of charge from Bad Hofgastein train station and take them directly to DAS.GOLDBERG.

We also offer additional mobility options on-site:
Our hotel’s own shuttle runs several times a day to the bus station in Bad Hofgastein – and back again.
In addition, the Salzburg Land Ticket allows free use of all public transport during the entire stay.

This allows the Gastein Valley and the Salzburger Land to be discovered even without your own car.
Uncomplicated and with many possibilities for excursions throughout the entire stay.

We also rely on shared solutions for our team’s daily commutes.
That is why we also pay attention to conscious interaction on our daily journeys – and to mobility that connects instead of burdens.

In order to avoid unnecessary journeys, we organise employee transfers from collection points in the valley or directly from our employee house.
This allows routes to be bundled and shared trips to be organized.

In addition, we provide e-scooters and e-bikes that can be used flexibly – for the way to work or small errands in the valley.

Many of our daily processes are organized digitally today. In the kitchen, in service, in administration, and in communication.
That is why at DAS.GOLDBERG we rely on digital solutions that simplify processes and reduce the use of paper.

We already largely avoid paper in our kitchen.
From the POS system to recipe management, everything runs digitally – orders and processes are displayed on screens, clearly and paperless.
According to our guiding principle: “Think before you print.”

This idea also applies to service.
Paper receipts are only issued on request, otherwise they are digitally archived and confirmed with an electronic signature – safely, quickly, and digitally.

We work almost paperless in administration.
With digital accounting and modern filing systems, invoices are directly recorded, checked, and processed – without any printing and with clearly structured digital workflows.

A digital information system is available for our guests – with local experiences, current events and offers.
This ensures everything remains transparent, up-to-date, and directly available.

Our team also benefits from modern structures:
We share information, processes and knowledge digitally via the internal Hotelkit system – efficiently, bindingly and paperless.

This is how we use digital possibilities in many areas of our house. And reduce the use of paper wherever it is sensible and possible.

Throughout the house, we place great value on conscious waste separation and the careful sorting of different recyclable materials.
From the kitchen to the rooms to administration, recyclables are carefully separated, collected, and sent for appropriate disposal.

We also look for packaging solutions that avoid waste and enable reuse.
Wherever possible, we avoid disposable packaging and prefer suppliers from the region who use environmentally friendly or reusable systems.
Many of our products reach us in reusable containers or returnable boxes. These are returned after use.

We avoid waste right at the point of purchase. Through conscious purchasing, digital processes, and the use of reusable systems.
What remains is disposed of professionally. Together with our regional partners.

This creates a well-thought-out system in which waste separation, reuse, and a conscious handling of materials interlock.

We rely on professional cleaning systems in all areas. In the rooms, in the spa, and in the public spaces.

All cleaning products are certified and biodegradable.
Modern dosing systems ensure exact application and enable precise dosing of cleaning agents.

In this way, we combine hygiene, quality, and a conscious use of cleaning agents.
For a well-kept environment in which people and nature feel equally at home.

We also pay attention to conscious processes in laundry care.
Our bed linen and towels are made of high-quality, durable materials and are cleaned in cooperation with selected laundries.

As standard, our guests sleep in feather and down beds, which ensure maximum comfort and a natural sleeping experience.
Of course, we offer allergy-friendly beds and alternative filling materials on request – for restful nights that take every need into account.

In order to save water, energy and detergent, we offer our guests a change of laundry on request.
So they decide for themselves when towels or bed linen should be renewed.
