Five awards for the 5-star nature and design hotel in Bad Hofgastein

Several prestigious hotel awards confirm the quality and unique concept of DAS.GOLDBERG in the Gastein Valley. The family-run 5-star nature and design hotel in the province of Salzburg was honored at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, by Connoisseur Circle, in the 101 Best Hotels in Austria and South Tyrol, in the Falstaff SPA Guide, and at the Wellness Heaven Awards 2027.

The awards recognize various areas of the hotel – from architecture and design to wellness and spa, through to rooms and suites. Together, they underline the positioning of DAS.GOLDBERG as a leading nature, design, and wellness hotel in Austria.

International recognition at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2026

DAS.GOLDBERG received special international recognition at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2026. In the “Hotels – Rest of Europe” category, the hotel reached 25th place, making it one of only four Austrian hotels to be honored in this category.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are based on the travel experiences and reviews of Condé Nast Traveller readers. More than 296,000 readers from the United Kingdom took part in the 2026 survey, rating travel experiences around the world.

Connoisseur Circle: 2nd place in the Boutique & Design category

DAS.GOLDBERG also impressed in the hotel rankings by Connoisseur Circle Austria, achieving 2nd place in the “Boutique & Design” category.

The award highlights in particular the combination of alpine architecture, individual design, and a high-quality holiday experience. Natural materials, expansive glass fronts, and a clear architectural design define the appearance of the hotel, which is perched on a high plateau above Bad Hofgastein.

The 101 Best Hotels in Austria & South Tyrol 2027: Top 3 for design and architecture

DAS.GOLDBERG received further recognition in the “101 Best Hotels in Austria and South Tyrol 2027”. In the “Luxury Design & Architecture Resorts” category, the hotel is ranked among the Top 3.

The award underlines the importance of architecture and design in the overall concept of the house. Floor-to-ceiling windows open up sweeping views of the Gastein Valley and the surrounding mountain world. Wood, natural stone, and other selected materials, together with clean lines and spacious rooms, create an atmosphere where contemporary comfort and alpine nature meet.

Falstaff SPA Guide: 94 out of 100 points for the wellness offer

DAS.GOLDBERG was rated with 94 out of 100 points in the Falstaff SPA Guide, achieving an “outstanding” classification.

The focus is on the hotel’s wellness offer with the approximately 1,500-square-meter Nature’s Nest Spa. This includes the 22-meter-long infinity pool with panoramic views, the natural swimming lake with a sandy beach, various relaxation rooms, the sauna world, and the GOLD.STOLLEN, a tepidarium made from 420 tons of natural stone. The spa experience is complemented by various wellness treatments, yoga and movement classes, and the Goldberg.Kulinarik. In this way, the wellness hotel in Bad Hofgastein combines relaxation, activity, and indulgence.

Wellness Heaven Award 2027: 5th place in the Rooms & Suites category

The living areas of DAS.GOLDBERG were also honored. At the Wellness Heaven Award 2027, the hotel achieved 5th place in the “Rooms & Suites” category.
