The family-friendly Dorfgastein–Großarltal ski area is also quick to reach.
The ski bus takes you comfortably from Bad Hofgastein and lets you discover more varied slopes in the Salzburg region.

A special tip for sporty skiers is Sportgastein.
This high-alpine ski area is known for its reliable snow, challenging runs and excellent freeride opportunities.

  • Schlossalm – Angertal – Stubnerkogel ski area

    The Schlossalm – Angertal – Stubnerkogel ski area is the largest connected ski area in the Gastein Valley and links Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein into a versatile winter sports destination.

    Here, skiing in the Gastein ski area shows its most varied side – for beginners, leisure skiers and ambitious winter sports enthusiasts.

    A special highlight is the legendary Nord run in Bad Hofgastein. At around 10 km long, it is one of the longest runs in the Eastern Alps and leads from the top station all the way down to Bad Hofgastein. A spectacular route for sporty skiers – with impressive views of the Gastein mountains.

    Angertal forms the heart of the ski area and is considered a meeting point for families, ski schools and beginners. Modern cable cars and fast lift connections ensure comfortable skiing throughout the entire area.

  • Sportgastein ski area

    Sportgastein is the highest ski area in Ski amadé – and a paradise for sporty skiers.

    Wide, open slopes. Reliable snow cover well into spring. And impressive altitudes up to over 2,600 metres.
    Here you can experience skiing in Gastein in its most authentic form – quiet, spacious and especially close to nature.

    Sportgastein is best known for its excellent freeride opportunities. Untouched deep-snow slopes and alpine terrain make the area a hotspot for ambitious winter sports enthusiasts.

    Back to the origins. Skiing like in the old days.
    Graukogel is considered an insider tip in the Gastein Valley – for everyone who appreciates peace, nature and authentic skiing.

    Natural snow instead of artificial snowmaking. Challenging runs through the oldest Swiss stone pine forest in the Eastern Alps. And a special atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle.
